Climbing Wall Instructor
The Climbing Wall Instructor qualification trains and assesses candidates in the skills required to supervise climbers on purpose built artificial climbing walls and boulders. It is ideal for people who work at climbing walls or at venues with permanent or mobile climbing towers.
Early in Bryn's career he worked part time at the Beacon Climbing Centre here in North Wales. Bryn ran hundreds of climbing sessions and really cut his teeth as an instructor and coach. The work is fun, varied and if you're lucky you'll get free entry to the climbing wall!
Bryn now works reguarly in climbing walls with private clients / groups and works as a Technical Advisor for several climbing walls around the country delivering staff training sessions, equipment inspections and reviewing of working practices, policies and procedures. All of this additional experience adds to the detail of what is covered as part of the CWI training and assessment process.
